Nitrogen in Car Tyres

Nitrogen is recommended by the experts for tires as it keeps the tire at a lower temperature and does not allow it to heat or catch fire. According to science normal gas which is inflated in tires molecules are very tiny they escape from the tiny tire pores of the tire and they have a small amount of water vapor which causes the rust on the rim. On the other hand, nitrogen molecules are bigger than the ordinary gasses which air tights the tire with the rim. And in the ordinary gas, it's oxygen and it is flammable and if the tire heats it could get on fire easily as the rubber of the tires would start to melt.

 

The main benefit is that it maintains the tire pressure for a long period. According to the studies, nitrogen leaks four to five times slower in comparison with the ordinary air.

A tire is a very important part of the vehicle and it should grab the road properly and air pressure is very important if the tire is under-inflated or over-inflated its performance will initially get affected and it can lead to any kind of emergency or accident. This is also one of the reasons tire manufacturers recommend nitrogen for the tires if available. Now a day aircraft also use nitrogen for their tires.
